Abstract:
Gesellschaft und Wirtschaft in Deutschland müssen sich dem demografischen Wandel stellen: Der größte Babyboomer-Jahrgang 1964 wird in diesem Jahr 60 Jahre alt und erreicht somit Ende der 2020er-Jahre das Rentenalter. Ein Beitrag in dieser Ausgabe des Wissenschaftsmagazins WISTA enthält ein demografisches Porträt der Babyboom-Generation in Deutschland. Außerdem informieren Aufsätze über aktuelle Daten zu Bürokratiekosten durch amtliche Statistiken, neue Erzeugerpreisindizes für Dienstleistungen, einen weiteren Baustein der Ökosystemrechnungen, das Projekt "Nationales Tierwohl-Monitoring", das im Registerzensus vorgesehene Arbeitsmarktmodul, Weiterentwicklungsmöglichkeiten bei der Plausibilisierung im Außenhandel sowie der monatlichen Verdiensterhebung und stellen das Dashboard Deutschland sowie den Pulsmesser für die Wirtschaft vor.

Society and the economy in Germany must face up to demographic change: The largest baby boomer cohort, born in 1964, will turn 60 this year and thus reach retirement age at the end of the 2020s. An article in this issue of the science magazine WISTA contains a demographic portrait of the baby boom generation in Germany. In addition, articles provide information on current data on bureaucracy costs from official statistics, new producer price indices for services, a further component of the ecosystem accounts, the "Nationales Tierwohl-Monitoring" (National Animal Welfare Monitoring) project, the labour market module provided for in the register census, further development options for plausibility checks in foreign trade and the monthly earnings survey, and present the Dashboard Deutschland and the Pulsmesser für die Wirtschaft.
